Order of items in report

I am running a report, based on a query. I want the detail to print on the report in "data-entry" order. In the query, I have marked the auto-number field to "sort ascending", but when it gets to the report it still scrambles the order. Any ideas?

Reports use their own sort order separate from the recordsource. Open up sorting and grouping for the report. You can do that by right-clicking on the detail section. Choose the field you want to sort by in there.
