Boston Mayor Michelle Wu Celebrates 'Breaking Down Barriers' with No-Whites-Allowed Holiday Party

Boston Mayor Michelle Wu proudly posted a photo from her no-whites-allowed "Electeds of Color" holiday party amid backlash.

Many argued that Wu, of Taiwanese descent, had committed a discriminatory act, but she maintained that it was normal for people of color to gather for social events around the holidays.

Councilor Tania Fernandes Anderson made a similar comment. She said: "Many groups celebrate and come together in various ways, and it's not about excluding anyone. Instead, it's about creating spaces for like-minded individuals to connect and support each other."

“It is not at all divisive, it is creating spaces for people and communities and identities with shared experiences to come together,” said Ruthzee Louijeune, a Boston city councilor at-large. “We are still breaking barriers and it is so important for us to carve out and create that space.”

Democratic party logic, promoting segregation is "breaking down barriers". Orwell would be proud. King, would be turning over in his grave.
