Output to Excel 2003

Hi
I use this VBA
"DoCmd.OutputTo acOutputQuery, "qry_total", acFormatXLS, "C:\Apteka\Total.xls", False

and it seems that Excel file is written with BIFF5 format, but I need to be written in BIFF8 format..What is the difference and how to do it

Try the transferspreadsheet command also to get more control over version.
DoCmd.TransferSpreadsheet acExport, acSpreadsheetTypeExcel10, "MyQuery", "X:\Tax Audits Scheduled\export.xls"

Here is a table for the various BIFF(x) values to the Excel version.
