parameter messages

i have a query that requests a date to generate a report. right now, it has the generic message "Enter parameter value". i would like to make my own message. How can i do that?

Create a custom form that looks like an input box and reference that instead.

Another solution is to use the criteria box in the design grid and enclose your caption in square brackets [].
