Passing values to query

Hi all, I have a Mainform with a subform. On my Mainform I have a textbox [txtOperator] containing a value list of math operators (=, >, <, <>, >=) and a textbox [txtRSS] where the user may enter a score. So for example, the user may search for everyone who has a score = 1200 or maybe <> 1200.
In my query I have three fields, StudentID, [Reading - Scaled Score], and the following:

IIf([Forms]![Main Form]![txtOperator] Is Null Or [Forms]![Main Form]![txtRSS] Is Null,True,IIf([Reading - Scaled Score] Is Null,Null,[Forms]![Main Form]![cboOperator] & [Forms]![Main Form]![txtRSS]))

When I select an operator and enter a score on my Main Form and select my Search button, nothing happens. Can anyone see where I am going wrong?
