A form with a subform....

The main form has 6 field tab stops (0-5) - 5 is the subform which has 3 field tab stops of it own (0-2).

All (on both form and subform) are set to tab stop "yes".

After tabbing through a form to a new form, once on the new form, when tabbing from tab stop 4 to 5 (form to subform) it will miss the first 2 tab stops (0 and 1) on the subform unless the main form is refreshed (closed and reopened).

All are numbered in series correctly.
Anyone run across this before? Any Ideas?

I read my post - not a clear discription. Simply put -

Using the tab key, on the first pass, the active cell stops at all tab stops on both the main form and the subform in proper sequence.

If I tab through again - anytime after the first pass, it will skip the first 2 tab stops on the subform.

Anyone know why this happens?

I'm curious, post a demo db

Should I email the demo db directy to you

Even stripped down and zipped its twice the size of the allowed
bytes at 203 KB.

Vince

Have you compacted it within the db before zipping?

Thanks......Didn't think of that!

Stripped down db demo with problem retained ……………

Open Quote/Order Form

Active cell starts at “Order Date”

Tab order as follows;
1. Order Date
2. Required Date
3. Sold To Name
4. “ “ Street
5. “ “ City
6. “ “ State
7. “ “ Zip
8. Check If Same (Check Box)
9. Ship To Name
10. “ “ Street
11. “ “ City
12. “ “ State
13. “ “ Zip
14. Product Name
15. Quantity
16. Discount
17. Freight
18. Print Command Button

Continuing to tab past print will return active cell to “Order Date” – with any subsequent tab through - tab order skips “Product Name” and “Quantity”.

On the subform's on enter put....

Forms![Quote/Order]![Quote/Order Subform]![ProductName].SetFocus

Tried it and it works fine.

TIP: Not a good idea to use symbols in your object names, i.e. '/'

Kevin - I don't seem to have on "OnEnter" in my Subforms Properties.

What am I overlooking?
Vince

Are you looking at the properties on the form itself? If so, that could be why. If you look on the subform control on your main form, 'on enter' should be there.

If it's not that, I don't know. But then it's Friday, and I never seem to know much on a Friday.....

I Used "On Current" - your code works fine - thanks again!

Vince

Tay, so right you are!

I never looked at the subforms properties through the main form before, never thought there would be a difference.

So many variables..........not enough brain!

Thanks for everyones help!

Vince

On the main form in design view, right click on the subform and select properties, you will see the OnEnter event there.
