Picture Too Large?

A newbie problem: Trying too display a linked picture using Win 8.1, get error picture too large. OK in Win 7. Am using Access 2002 (10.6501.6567) SP3. The instruction flagged is:
Me![ImageFrame].Picture = Me![ImagePath]

try, before that line, to change the PictureType to Linked and see what happens
