hi all,

I have a problem with seting up color for my pivot chart. First I set up color I want(pic 1).but then when I use filter for End Customer all the colors will revert back to default settings (pic2).

Is there a way how to force it so it sticks with colors I chose? VBA code?

Thank you

I hardly use charts in Access but if you upload a sample db I can have a look and advise.

There u go,
View attachment DB crad chart.zip

You can try it either in Form CRAD or CRAD_chart. Change end customer filter and u ll see how some color revert back to default settings.

thank u

The colours are staying put for me. Using the CRAD form can you give me a specific filter to apply that will cause it to look like your pic 2 screenshot? What version of Access are you using as well?

e.g. If I choose only H customer on End customer filter and then again display all of them, colors for ">=8", "6" and "7" will change. Only color for "<=5" will stay as it was because it s the only color (column) which is visible for H customer.

I am using access 2007.

I see what you're experiencing now. I'll take a look later.

Robo0502, only just had time to look into this and it's proved to be quite tricky because there aren't any support materials for charts in Access, versions 2007 and above. In fact there's very little information on programming Access charts, Intellisense doesn't work in the versions listed above, the OWC11.dll (the library for older charts) isn't supported and there isn't a newer version.

But I found a way around it so see attached.

That s perfect, man. I knew there had to be a way using VBA. Thank you very much :)
