Pivot Chart in Reports

Hi All,

Can anyone help me with embedding a pivot chart in a report. I want to get the report to feed off a field called name in the report and produce a chart from it. Do I have to create a sub report in order to be able to filter the data down to the chart, or can I bypass this step?

Problem Solved Itself

Somehow this problem seems to have solved itself. After embedding the subreport into the report and setting the parent/child field after a while the chart just seemed to begin displaying the correct data much to my amazement.

Sorry if I'm being dense, but I cant work out how to embed a pivot chart into a report/form. I can embed an ordinary chart, but not a pivot one.

Please help someone

In your form , go to design view. Then go to > view > pivotchart view and add the necessary fields to the X and Y axis.

Cheers Rak, you've got me on the right path! I realised I had to create a form with default PivotChart View, then embed THAT as a sub form in my report!
