Access 97:
I have a Column Chart Form showing the Days of the Week as the Labels to each column.
They appear in Alphabetical order by default.
How do I change their order to Chronological, or any order I want?
Thank You! ...grb

Access is kind of bad about sorting. If you have a table set up for the days of the week, then add another field to the table, set its data type as Number, and then number the days in Ascending order (Mon=1, Tues=2, etc.). Sort the table or the query that is based on this table Ascending by this new field and your day of the week should be in the right order.

Thanks for your reply. I have tried sorting a query in ascending order (no problem), but when create the chart, it still puts it in the order it wants.
Either I missed a key point in the conversion, or I need a different solution. What do you think?

P.S. I tried zipping a very small sample database, but it was still beyond the allowed size parameters.

Still open to ideas.... ...grb

Been racking my brain on this some more. For anyone that want's a shot at it too, this may help:
The row source for my chart currently looks like this:
SELECT [Day], Count(*) AS [Count] FROM [Data Table] GROUP BY [Day];

The Data Table has the field (Day) that shows what day was selected for that particular record. My chart shows how often each day was selected, it just doesn't show them in the normal order, SMTWTFS.
I have created another table: DayOFWeek Table, with a DayOfWeek field and a numeric field assigning the days their chronological number.
Is this new table used in the Row Source as a Sort? or do I need another query first? Thank you in advance.. for any help you may send my way. Kinda stumped... ...grb
