Although I have posted a question on this topic before, I have yet to get a satisfactory answer - so hopefully this time one of you wizards can sort me out . . .
I have a table called COURSE SCHEDULE which has a attribute called NUMBER OF PLACES on it. I would like to some how create a query that counts the number of bookings for a particular course, subtracts that number from the NUMBER OF PLACES and returns the result (i.e. the number of REMAINING places) which I can use on other forms, reports etc.
Someone has previously suggested using a COUNT or DCOUNT function, and although this sounds perfect for my needs, I have no idea how to use either.
Any help or suggestions on this subject would be hugely appreciated.
Many thanks in advance
