One of my Dad's favorite sayings was "Do something, even if it's wrong."

When I was young, I thought it was the stupidest thing I ever heard.

But later, I came to realize that sometimes, any movement is better than being stalled.

Now, I design homes and write software to manage the process of home building. With both of these endeavors, too much preplanning is
counterproductive.

Sometimes, you have to just dive in, and see what kinds of pearls are down there.

Just a thought.

Balance is the key. I've seen too many programs that got totally whacked because of zero planning. I also have seen some government projects that tried to plan for every contingency but they never ran out of "special cases." (Can anyone say "Rice Bowl Politics?") Somewhere in there, you can perhaps strike a happy medium.

If that would make your seer unhappy to be struck in that way, I guess that's a risk you take.

I like the way you think...it's better to keep trying different things than doing nothing in my opinion
