Please help im stuck big time

Hey there well basically heres what ive got to do. Im creating a form so that people can enter notes against purchase orders. I have a purchase order field which is from ym database where all purchase order details are stored and i have a notes field from a table called PO Notes so that they can add text also in that field i have a purchase order field i have created for the notes to be stored against a purchase order number. However when i create and add new record button it wants to save the notes into the purchase order query already in the database, so is there a way of getting data from one recordset and saving it to another?
