Please help? Need plan of attack.

Yes I feel very comfortable with this now! Thank you for giving me the missing puzzle piece!
I'm hoping that some of the same moves I used previously will work now because the circular relationships are gone :)

Moving forward, since I know exactly where I ran into an issue before (Projects form with StockArtProduction subform), I'm assuming I just go straight for getting that function to work, and build up everything around it?

Yeah, since you didn't really do a major overhaul, most of everything you had should work. I'm not the best with forms, so if you have a question about those, I'd post a new thread in that section.

You got it! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Whoops hit a snag. I saved, closed, re-opened and some of my relationships snapped themselves back to one tblEmployees. Ideas?

I could well be wrong, but my understanding is that those extra tables are more of a visual aid, and the relationships themselves are all still going back to the the same object. Unless I'm drastically off - and it could well be - all you really did was recreate the same relationships, and just made them LOOK like they're not circular.

I say this because the way Access stores the relationships is basically by storing the name of the relationship, the table.field of the primary table & field, the table.field of the foreign table and field, and the relationship's attributes. The relationships WINDOW is just a handy UI for displaying that.

That's kind of the way I thought it was...
So, is it accurate to say that as long as I can visually put it together without loops (as I did by using duplicate tables) that my database should be ok to move forward with?

Cool so here's to onward and upward! I'll see everyone in the forms section later I'm sure lol

Plog!! I tried to send you a PM but I think I am not seeing it in outgoing so I'm paranoid it didn't go through. Get in touch with me! We all want to send you stuff from the business you helped get back on it's feel database-wise!!
