hey there i really need some help i have a table which contains a list of 890 suppliers however i sorted these by one of the fields in the table and i just want to display the first 150 records in a new query or table how would i do this please help

Use the TOP predicate. In a blank area of the query grid, right click. Click properties and enter 150.

Start thinking SQL and not the easy GUI stuff.
It will make your job a lot easier when you move on to real RDBMS like SQL Server. Try to do it by hand using SQL.

SELECT TOP 150 Table2.Age
FROM Table2 LEFT JOIN Table1 ON Table2.Age = Table1.Age
