OK, I have no idea what this is called... When I open a table there used to be little plus signs next to each record that could be collapsed showing which records are associated with that particular record.

Well they are gone now, and I have no idea what I did to make them disappear. How do I get them back?

Sorry for the lame newbie question.

Those are called subdatasheets and they normally are set automatically by Access based on your table relationships. You can specifiy one though by going into the table in design view and then right clicking on the area where the fields are and select PROPERTIES. You should see an item called SUBDATASHEET there in the list of properties.

Personally, I wouldn't get too attached to them because they can slow things down a bit on a network. But as long as you only set the ones you need and then change all others from [Auto] to [None] you should be fine.

Ohhh duh. OK, I did turn them off. I read an article about improving network speed with a database which recommended they be turned off. I didn't realize it was those.

I'm not attached to them (never use them) but I was afraid I made a change and couldn't recall what I did.

Thank you.
