Pop up messages. Adjust duration

In the bottom right hand corner of the screen we all get little pop up messages from Windows.

They inform us that new mail has arrived, the internet is now connected plus many others from time to time.

These can be adjusted for duration, size how opaque you want it.

If you know how please let me in on the secret.

I am using Windows 7

Go to Control Panel > EASE OF ACCESS CENTER > MAKE IT EASIER TO FOCUS ON TASKS and down near the bottom is the

ADJUST TIME LIMITS AND FLASHING VISUALS

and then

HOW LONG SHOULD WINDOWS NOTIFICATION DIALOG BOXES STAY OPEN.
