Dear Friends,

I am in search of a program which gives me pop up reminder before 120 days for making reservation for my clients in railway as the rail reservation will starts prior to 120 days. I need the data such as client name date of journey and route of Journey. I hope u will help me out in this. I am not familiar with access. Thanks in advance!!!!

It's not clear what the intent of your post is. If you are looking for a reservation management application that you can just download and begin using, you'll need to do some research to find a program you can purchase (whether that's MS Access based or otherwise).

If you are looking to build (or are currently building) your own application using MS Access, then we are here to help guide you through that process but you need to post a question that states where you are in the design process and the specific problem you're currently attempting to solve.

If you're just starting out and are looking for guidance on the fundamentals of application design with MS Access, here are some links to help you get started.

Thanks for you help. I am in the starting stage of access. And my requirements are that I need to enter a client name, Date of Journey and Route of Journey. for this I need a pop up reminder before 120 days "Reservation date Due"

I am in the starting stage of access.

Meaning what? Have you created tables/relationships and a data entry form and now you just need to figure out how to get a reminder based on the Reservation Date?

Have you not done anything yet?

If the former, then you can use the DateDiff() function to return the difference between your Reservation Date and the current date (which is returned by the Date() function). You can find more information on these functions in the Access help file.

If the latter, then you've got a ways to go before you start worrying about your pop up reminder.

I had not started any thing.... I had to create all .............

Then I would recommend you start by doing some research on table design and normalization for relational databases. You can start with the links I provided previously or search for other resources. Keep in mind that there will be a bit of a learning curve if you have never worked with Access or another RDBMS before, so you will need to spend some time and effort to learn how to design this properly. It all starts with proper table design. You need to get that right before you jump into queries, forms and reports.
