populated number on another form

I have a form that asks for a SS number. On the form there is a comand button to open another form with the SS data on it. But the SS number does not populated it.
Is a way that the SS number can be populated? Is so can anyone please tell me how.

Suppose your first form was called form1 and the second form2

You want the SS Number on the second form to be equal to the SS Number on the first form.

So in the On Open event of the second form put

Me.SS_Number = forms![Form1]![SS_Number]
