Hi - I am encountering a problem in a Navigation Form when moving from tab to tab following the use of filter on (any) of the sub forms! I unexpectedly get a prompt to save the form!? [Sorry - hope that makes sense as I am new user!].

One of our forum members "williamlove" posted a similar question 9/9/2011, but it seems un-resolved - I have also posted there. Also, other Forum sites appear to indicate there is a problem!?

On further Googling in an attempt to find 'known bugs' I was lead to Microsoft's official support site "Microsoft Office 2010 FAQ/README" page, which I think is supposed to show any know "Issues". It currently displays "no known issues".

My questions are:
1 - Are there any known bugs regarding use of Nav Forms and if so, could you provide a link?
2 - If there are no bugs, what am I doing wrong?

I desperately hope it is the latter and you can help me. Thanks in anticipation. David

I presume this message comes up when you close the form?

What is your code to close the form?

Hi Steve. My understanding is that when you move between Navigation Form tabs ACCESS "fires the open and load events thus it always re-queries the forms" [quote/ source from msdn microsoft .com - Office Videos!]. I have no code to close each embedded/child forms within my Navigation Form!? I do not intend for users to close the main Navigation Form other than to quit the database - this is actioned through the wizard produced button. The problem occurs before I close the main nav form.

I think the following paragraph will help in my explaining the problem further. Please could you have a look at that and the afore mentioned 'williamlove' thread and make comment?

I have found a another Forum where [I think] the same problem is discussed more fully, but as I have not yet posted more than 10 times I am currently dis-allowed from posting the link to it here. But I hope the following broken link is sufficient for you to recreate fully and follow:
– social.mdsn.microsoft.com
- /Forums/sv-SE/accessdev/thread/817e24aa-9ff2-4f13-bf1a-bbd073590bac

Thanks again. David
