I have a field in which I wish to post several contacts. The contacts are listed in a table and populat the specific field via a drop down. In this specific field I want to select "mary" "bob" and "fred" (all three to display) however only one is displayed.....what am I doing wrong?

So you want to select three names from a dropdown at one time.... and then display them all at once? I think I don't understand what you want to do. Is there a way you can somehow show what you want to do visually.

Seems like you might want to have the name field be in a related table, and then create a new record for each name.

Drop down (combo Boxes) by their nature do not allow multi-selection, but List Boxes do.

See this link for code to deal with multiple selection in a list box.

Multivalued fields are a tool of Beelzebub. They look nice, it seems so easy just to tick-off stuff in the drop down, but believe me, you get into deep doodoo very very fast. Use a multiselect listbox for this or a subform, in which you can have checkboxes.
