Pound Sign Error

Greetings Forum!

I'm having an issue with pound signs in my table for specific items. I've create a DB that when you click a command button it opens a form and in the form it has a notes field. In the notes field once where i had data is now pound signs.

The DB is setup so when you click another command button to close out, it saves the record. It works 98% of the time but the i'm concern about the other 2% of the time.

My first question is why and how could this happen and what can i do to prevent this from happening again.

You have described what happen in the form.
But at the table level ? Have you good data ?
Using other words, is this only a visual issue or the data are altered (in a wrong way) ?

Try to resize the control to make it wider. Sometimes if the value in the field is bigger than the control can show, it will show pound signs to let you know that there is more than can be shown.

What type of data is supposed to show that control ?

Mihail, thanks for responding back. But the information in the fields is good data. Also the fields are wide enough to accommodate the data. Again the field is a plain text format field that would allow you to enter in numeric and alpha in this field.

Mihail, I'm also getting the Write Conflict message as well. Where you have the option to choose, Save Record, Copy to Clipboard and Drop Changes.

I click on Copy to Clipboard and then close the DB and everything is saved. but not the check boxes.

I think that I need to see your database. Can you upload it ?

The DB is to big to upload. Is there anything we could try to fix the problem?
