Please join us for our Monthly Chapter Presentation , at 6:30PM Pacific (UTC -8) on June 5, 2025
John Colby, an old friend of the Access Pacific chapter and member of AWF, will drop in to discuss an Access add-in he created some time ago to help set up an Access database for deployment.
C2DBProperties is a simple developer tool designed to provide quick easy access to the built in database properties for any Access database.
It contains a file form that allows you to quickly find and save a reference to your project databases.
Once the file has been found, double-clicking on the database name in the files form opens a property form displaying the following properties for that database:
StartupShowDBWindow
StartupShowStatusBar
AllowBuiltinToolbars
AllowFullMenus
AllowBreakIntoCode
What else do you do to prepare an Access database for deployment?
After John’s presentation, if we have time remaining, I would love to hear from you how you prepare for deployment.
I’m thinking of factors such as the environment (network, stand-alone), security requirements, and skill level of your users and how they affect the way you approach deployment.
We’re counting on your ideas to make the discussion complete.
Thank you.
