My low level annoying problem is that every morning when I log onto my PC, all of my apps that I open, open on the monitor that they were closed from on the previous day. Except for MS Teams. Every day it opens fully maximized on monitor 1 and I have to drag it over to monitor 2 and minimize it. 🤬

I've done a bit of goolging to find a solution but none seems forthcoming.

Anyone with some ideas on how to stop this occurring..?

just a suggestion, not idea if it will work

move it to monitor 2, make it smaller, then close it, don't minimize it.

hopefully it will retain that information when it is next opened, although you would still need to minimise it

Sorry I guess I meant 'make it smaller' when I said minimize.

So it does retain that info but only until the PC is restarted.

OK, only other suggestion is swap your monitors over - i.e. make monitor 2 the main display in the display settings. Might mean physically swapping the monitors around as well!

So? You still keep all your open apps on that monitor, all you are doing is changing is the default.

try it, if it doesn’t work, change it back

Yip so have changed the default and that seems to have done the trick. Seems to be a 'feature' of this program that after a PC re-start, it always opens on the default monitor regardless of where it was last closed.

Cheers CJ

I found this when I was trying to keep it from auto-starting...
Ah the dreaded auto-start feature. About as helpful as the 'I'm putting MS Edge on your taskbar whether you like it or not' feature..

Yep, PITA. There are other tips like clearing cache and other stuff that I thought might be useful...

This is a lifetime free utility to save windows position for one profile.
(the paid version is for managing multiple profiles which you don't need)

Edit : there are so many more. You can google it. I used to use this one and it was nice at the time.
Edit 2 : They have changed their policy. The free version is for single monitor.
