I have a report that is based on a crosstab query. Most of the time there will be data when run. Sometimes there will be no data but i still need to print a report with the field names and 0s in the field so that it is know that now data exist for that month.

Right now if there is no data, i get a blank report. Can anyone help.

Thanks in advance

I tried the NZ function but got error message. I have use this function many times and has work in the past but i have never used it in a crosstab query. My guess is that because the query returns no records the nz function doesn't know what to do, so i was hoping there was another way to do this.
Any other suggestions?

Have you tried the "on no data" event of the report? I would suggest that you place text field(s) on the report that are normally not visible, but if there is no data, they become visible and say something like "no data this month" or "0" or whatever.

Thanks Elana, i tried your suggestion and it worked when i ran the report. However, i need to run it from within another report that has several subreports. When i tried this i still get a blank space where the subreport would be if there was data. :(

I am not quite sure where to go from here, any suggestions?

Thanks for your help.
