Hi all. I need to know if there is a way to show the last entry for a record. In my database there is a set of numbers i.e. 3000, 3001, 3002 etc which have multiple valuation figures with them i.e. 3000 could have valuation 1 £1000, valutaion 2 £1245. So as mention what i need is my query to show the last valuation entry for the selected reference number i.e. 3000 and valuation2 only.

Any ideas?

Your right the solution is very simple just set this sign < at criteria. If the valuation numer 3000 is not a primery ket so you have like to record ith valuation code 3000 you can use the option max in tatals at summary.

hope this helps you

Hi i can help you but can you tell be how your database is buld i need to know witch feeld the table has of with you want to know the latest valution and i need to know the primary key

There are two tables. Main table is where the main info is stored for each reference i.e 3000 and this is the primary key. The valuations for each reference are stored in another table called "valuations" and this has a reference field which links to the reference field in the main table. hope this helps

answer

altight do the following go to query choose wizard select the label with i.e 3000 and select this same field in the valuation table pls the kolom valuation itself the click next and choose the option summary and than choose max and count records.

this should do it
