problem with Avg calculation

I have a report based on a query, calculates a date in an unbound text box.
I need to Avg the textbox. I created another unbound text box w/ =Avg[text2]

Text2 being the calculated box with the dates

When I run the report it prompts me for "Text2"
How can I fix this?
