I've created a form with a (simple) Flash animation on it, but it runs very choppy.
But when a message box is active, it runs perfect.
It seems that when the focus is off the form, it works fine, but otherwise, it doesn't.
Any ideas?

im having the same problem, have you solved it yet?

i dont like the idea of using flash in access

Well, I would only like to cheer up my application a bit by adding a flash banner. And the content (text) would be controlled by my database, but that's not the question here. I just want to know what I'm doing wrong, and I hope someone's got a clue.

Could you put the flash animation on a subform, in the corner, then set the focus to your main form?

No, tried that. A message box works, the question is why. Also checked with various versions of Flash, and various settings of the activex component. Nothing seems give a good result.

I've had the same problem, I used Flash within a startup form about 4 or 5 years ago and it ran ok but after an update of the player I noticed it had started to appear "Choppy", it appears to run smoothly if you are clicking & holding on the form or if the rightbutton menu is visible, I'm not sure if that signifies anything to any body ?

I'm not fortunate enough to be in the position to try that one Luckyboat as still on Access 2003....although a PC upgrade is about to happen here next week.....so fingers crossed..............................

Flash program

This is a program I downloaded awhile ago to make banners and such. Might be helpful. Not sure where I aquired it.
