problem with form implementation

I am in a slump lately. i can't seem to think of a way to make a form do what i want. i was hoping someone would maybe give me a boost. I have data i need to query out of our manufaturing system by a sales order number. after i get that i have to have the user add some more fields to this data without interupting the existing data and save it to a new table. i don't know what my problem is. i quit smoking and ever since then i have had major brain relapses. can someone please give me a push in the right direction.

I am going to see if I can helo, for the sake of your health (I wouldn't like you to fail in your attempt to quit smoking)
But I need to understand better: what do you mean by

without interupting the existing data

and why do you want to save to a different table? Try to give a concrete example of what your are trying to do...

Really just curious here Alex, what exactly is the programme your working on at the minute, will it help end the appalling suffering of the Angolan people?

It is a short term emergency programme that is hoped to help alleviating the very serious humanitarian situation in desmobilized soldiers camps (food shortage, diseases...) and support the peace process and re-installation of internal refugees (demining, food aid primary health care, etc). 30 millions EUR financed by the EC. Only an immediate supplementary support and still little in comparison to all the needs, but yet...
Program has been defined, agreement has been prepared and signed and now we are working on preparing the projects to be financed and implemented hopefully from 1st August.

ok here is my problem. I have a form where most of the data i need for my report comes up automatically through a query from another database. The rest of the information has to be put in manually through text boxes. what i need is a way to mesh both types of information(the query info and manual info) and put them as one record in a table. for some reason i am having a huge problem with this. can anyone help me please?
