Problemss with Access

I am having problems with the Access Chart Wizard or Chart toolbox. Every time I try to produce a garph a message saying

“The database ‘C:\Program Files \ Microsoft Office\ Office\1033\ACWZTOOL. MDE’. Needs to be repaired or isn’t a database file”

When I try to repair the file via the CD I get another message saying

“Unrecognised database format ‘C:\Programm Files\Microsoft Office\ Office\1033\ACWTOOL.MDE.”

Consequently I have uninstalled and reinstalled Microsoft 2000 but without any success. Would anyone please help.

What version of Access was the database created in, I find that sometimes Access 2000 and XP have problems opening databases I created in Access 97.
