Hiya

I hope someone can help me with this problem. Its probably quite simple to solve if you know what your doing.

Im trying to run a query on a date field that is set up as a text field.

the dates are set up in this format

2000-05-28
2004-09-16
2003-11-14

I need to run a query to select a particular day and month and ignore the year. so in the 1st example above say i wanted to select 05-28 i need it to ignore the 2000- part

Hope someone can help :)

thanks in advance

Try this

Copy and paste this statement in the criteria of the date field on the query grid:

Like "*" & "05-28"

Why are your date data types text and not date values?

The Database was imported from a text file and for some reason the date field would be corrupted if it was imported as date/time
