Purchase Order Subform

I'm trying to make a subform that the user can select which items will go on the invoice.
I've been looking at the Northwind db and their "Purchase Order Details" form has the subform I want; however, when I set my form and subform up like theirs, mine shows all of the records from my query and you can't change anything. On the Northwind db you can select which items you want to add.
If someone has a guess at what I'm doing wrong I would appreciate it.

Probably answer lies in the mdb it self, however you need to set up parent child link for what u want to display.

I didn't have the Master/Child fields set and I realized, after realizing that, that I was trying to do this all wrong anyway. Thank you for the help though.
