You can reference the value of a control on a form using the syntax:

=Forms!formname!controlname

how would that do what I want it to. Sorry, I'm really new to Access, only been working with it for a few days now

ok, I thought about it a bit. So then what that would do is it would input the value of the list into the SQL and use that as a filter?

Ok, I get what you mean now. Thanks for the help. There's another question I need an answer to, and it's posted in the other thread with the same name, my computer lagged while I was trying to make the thread and ended up making two, sorry
