Queries IN a form?!

Is there a way to add a parameter query question into a form?

So for example, I could have this in my form ::

What is your second name? [________] SEARCH​

And then when someone types something in the blank space and clicks
"SEARCH", it will add it into the query's search criteria?

I did, however when one isn't sure what they're looking for, and they're not sure WHAT to look for exactly, it can take quite a while to find what they want.

However as there are "many posts and examples on this topic", you could have at least linked to one. If it's obvious enough for you to point out to me that there are several topics on this, then it must be extremely easy for you to locate at least one.

As there are thousands of threads over here, no, it's not obvious for me.
You're expecting far too much
Next time you've got an issue just add a note saying you do search the forum but couldn't find any related topics.
