Query criteria from combo

Trying to run query with criteria based on combo box in search form with no luck. If I use text box in search form I can make it work. About to pull out what little hair is left. Any ideas or suggestions ?

Make sure the combo's Bound column property is set to the right column number (1 is usually the default but if you used the wizard, even if you chose one field it usually puts a key field next to the one you chose and uses that one). The criteria would be

[Forms]![FormNameHere]![ComboBoxNameHere]
