How can I display the latest date from a list in a query

In sql view, I think it looks like this:

SELECT TOP 1 *
FROM yourtable
ORDER BY [yourdatefield] DESC

In design view, change the field next to the summation sign from "all" to "1", and sort your datefield descending.
