Query has stopped allowing data entry

Hi,

I have a form, built on a query in a split database. Up until now I have been able to update a student's 1:1 appointments using my form and so have several other users.

This morning I have started the database running, gone in to try and add an entry and all I get is the computer beeping at me. It won't let me add anything and won't let me change anything.

Anyone have any ideas as this is driving me mad?!

what happens - exactly - when you try to add an entry?
does the form open?
if so, can you click in a text widget and get a blinking cursor?
does anyone else have permissions to edit your database/form/query?
