query loop for thosands of records!!!!

hello everybody. does anybody please have absolutely any idea of how to change a large number of records??? i have a product price field, and every year the price of products vary, by say 5 or 10 percent. does anyone know if it is possible to create a function where the user can increase every price in the record (or decrease) by a user specific amount entered in a text box (percentage) is this possible (I have absolutely no idea how to do it or where to start) or does anyone have a better idea!!!!???

thanks i got it to do that, but is there a way where i can type any amount ion a text box and press a button to make all the prices increase by the amount i typed int he text box, just to make it easier for the user, thanks again, richard.
