Query Problem with Left Joint

Dont you have to do all the combinations....

Like if field 1 and 2 have text in them... or field 4 and 5... and so on???

Nope, if you look at the code behind my sample (it would appear you haven't) you will see how it is done.

You're the MAN!!!!

I did look.... but quickly and I assumed the way it was coded... my bad!!

I'm so very sorry Bob, I just can’t make it work... plus, I dont understand all of it. I only do this part time for a friend. And no, he doesnt pay well, actually, doesnt pay at all... lol

I was wandering if you could give an example if I would give you 3 fields name of mine and how you would do it?

It's a basic form with a subform at the bottom pointing to a query(Calls-to-find). There's a search button that would have the codes in it.

Query fields : [Title] and [Opened Date] and [ReportID] (that's the one sometimes null)

Form fields : [txttitle] and [startdate], [enddate] and [txtreportid]
-For [Title] I would like to do a Like statement (Like "*" & [txttitle] & "*")
-For [Opened Date]... a Between [startdate] and [enddate]
-Form [ReportID] I would like to do a Like statement also

Any help is beautiful!!

Thanks

Luc

Instead of doing an docmd.openreport, how would I requery (or refresh) the subform in a form with the new info?

FYI,

Just thought you guys should now, could be helpful in the future. And "Alc", you were close. Thanks again for trying.

I finally figured it out!!! In the WHERE statement, I added:

WHERE ISNULL([X]) OR [TABLE NAME].[FIELD NAME IN TABLE] Like "*" & [X] & "*"

So easy, yet, took me a long time to do it.
