query running off form parameters

I have a form set up so the user picks a project from a list.
He can then pick a charge code type, ie, Hourly, Fixed, etc, which describes how the person is paid. so they can pick a project and they can choose "hourly" for all hourly persons working on the specific project. My problem: They can pick 1, 2 , 3 or all of the charge codes. If they choose all, it's easy. The query I have set up just picks the projects selected and doesn't exclude any charge codes. If they choose "Hourly" how do I pass the charge code to the query?
