Query Update Problem

Hi..

I am trying to make an update query using this criteria
[Forms]![Personal Issue Subform]![Date] and when i run the query it says

Enter Parameter Value [Forms]![Personal Issue Subform]![Date]

Note: The date exsits in the subform.

Can anyone help me pls??
