Hello everyone, i'm stuck in a school project (yet again), this time the problem lies with a query

here's a simplified version of a query result

UnitTrust SumOfVolume Type
1 5000 Buy
1 3000 Sell
2 7000 Buy
2 2000 Sell
3 4000 Buy

how do i make it like this:

UnitTrust Volume
1 2000
2 5000
3 4000

i.e. count the Buy volumes minus the Sell volumes of each unit trust? ==> A "Balance Held" table

I don't know your starting point so I will assume a table with fields Unittrust Volume and Type
a simple Select query UnitTrust TVolume:iif(Type="Sell",volume*-1,volume)
then turn it into a Totals query Group by Unittrust Sum Tvolume

that's the idea I'm sure you can modify to your situation
