Hello,

I have saved a query in my Access data base in which two tables are joined by a field. If I delete one of the tables and import a substitute table(from Excel), do I have to go into the Query - Select View and add the new table again or will Access link the two tables as before when I execute the query?
Can you help?
Thank you.
Joe

As long as the name is the same then Access will do the job for you.
You will need to create any relationships which you may have manually.

If you created the relationship in the query you won't need to.

Thank you for your reply,
It was my intent to have the same name for the substitute qeury.
I did the join in Query - Select View, not in Relationships, so I think the query
should be ok. I will try this at work Monday morning. It was my hope that I would not have to re-build the query every time I deleted and then imported a new table.
Thanks again, Joe

A quick question.
Why are you importing a new table each time??
