Hi guys,

I have a comment box that just says '#Name?' and you can't edit the contents of the box or add to it. Its Control Source is '=[Data Output]![Comments]'. Why is it doing this? It seemed fairly simple at the time. What am I missing here? Also, is it possible to have the comment box change per entry that is made into a Datasheet Subform?

Also, I would like to know if there is a web site that would show me how to make a multi-tier user password system. I want one individual to see a regular form and another individual to see the regular form plus query buttons. With the password system, I would like to have certain subforms locked. Is this possible?

And last but not least, can a person implement a JAVA Applet into the background of a Form?

Thanks for any information

I'll answer your first question and let someone more knowledgeable answer the rest.

A field shows '#Name?' when it doesn't understand the control source you've assigned.

What does '=[Data Output]![Comments]' refer to? Is Data Output a table or query name? Is Comments a field name from the query? If so, you need to set the recordsource for your form to Data Output and set the controlsource of the field to Comments.

Have a search for "workgroups" re your second question.
