Quizzical Query?

For the sake of example/clarity here follows a much simplified version of a crucial reporting function on my DB…..

I have a contracts table represented by the fields :

Contract No. / Size / Qty

I also have an assembly parameters table represented by fields :
Machine No. / Size / Param1 / Param2

Currently, the user enters the contract no. on a search dialog and the report displays the contract data i.e.
Size & Qty

However, I now need to display the report with a sub-form/report listing the assembly params, keyed on the ‘size’ field. No problem. The report lists the contract data, as before, but the sub-form also displays the assembly parameters in accordance with the contract ‘size’ field – as expected.

However, in addition to the contract no. I also need the user to enter their machine no.on the search dialog; the report will then display the contract data as before but will ONLY show the assembly parameters for the machine number that was entered (if any exist).

Any ideas how I can do this please?
