Re: Hyperlinks - Linking to Objects in Database

I have been having the same problem. I have Access 2007 and I use to be able to Hyperlink to an oblect in my database 9no upgrade0 But suddenly this option is not available. What can I do?

Re: Hyperlinks - Linking to Objects in Database

Can you explain a bit further? What were you using hyperlinks for and how did you have them set up? Not sure I can help with this as I haven't done this but we'll see.

Yes, and thanks for answering my post.
In my database I have a Member Information Table. Each member has a Member ID and each member has An Associated Member/s. (Member/s who they have invited) The associated member field (anothers members ID number) is listed along with the other member information in the Member Information Table. These two fields are hyperlinked so that (for example) when the User clicks on Member A's Associated member field, then they would be linked to Member B's information.

Re: Hyperlinks - Linking to Objects in Database

When you say "...then they would be linked to Member B's information" do you mean that a form opens with their information displayed? Or what should happen? I'm sorry if I'm not understanding quite as fast as you might like. I'm having a little bit of a hard time envisioning what you are doing or what you want to do.

Maybe posting some screenshots would work to help explain what you are trying to do. You can zip some screenshots and post them using a zip file even though you are under 10 posts.

Re: Hyperlinks - Linking to Objects in Database

Okay no prob. I don't even know how to do a screen shot, but i'll give this another try, then try to figure the screen shot out. In my database members are separated by teams (there are seven). So I also have Seven separate tables (I know that sounds odd). The first team's member info. is on the first table (they are not associated to each other) but the second team whose info. is on table two are associated to the members on table one. So when I push the associated member field for one of my members, it opens up another table and shows me who that number belongs to (the associated member field is another member's ID)

Hope this helps, I'll work on that screen shot. I'm doing this for a class, my job is to make a functional database that is a pyramid type. It's my first time, and i'm really trying to make this database functionable.
