I have a Front-End/Back-End database. I would like to give access to certain members of senior managment to run reports off this database, but IT says they can't have write access to the directory - only read access.
When I open up the front end off my desktop (that is, the front end is resident on my hard drive, not the network), it still creates a lock file on my back-end on the network. Without write access, the suits won't be able to create this lock file.
Will they still be able to look at the data?
Thanks, Rob
