Read only message when Archive prop is checked

I get the 'this is read only you will not be able to make changes, etc..
whe I open my database. How do i fix it? No one else is in making changes.

Sounds like the Read-Only file atribute is turned on. Using Windows Explorer you can right-click on the file and deselect the Read-Only file atribute. Was the file copied from a CD? That will do it every time. Windows XP will remove the Read-Only file atribute if you copy the file from a CD to a hard drive.
