Read table from VB

I would like to know how I make VB read a table, find a specific text and look into the coloum next to it to see if the number is positive or negative.

You need to open a recordset. See Openrecordset in Access Help for more info

Allen Browne has sample code at this site http://www.allenbrowne.com/func-06.html

Because the sample code displays the strucure in the immediate window I have modified my copy of the code to write the strucure to a table for printing etc.
