record count within a form

Hello,
Apart from the navigation arrows in the bottom of the form, is there any way to put some control in the form which will tell which record it is (like '2 of 8 records' etc). I thought I saw this somewhere, but do not know how to implement it. I am trying to avoid the navigational arrows.

Pl let me know.

Record Count on a Form

Create a text box and enter this as the value:
=[CurrentRecord] & " of " & Count(*)


That should do the trick for you
